Transportation Choices Forum

The Transportation Choices Forum ("Forum") was founded in January 1997 to expand public participation in regional transportation and land use decisions. A year later, Stuart Cohen, then Forum Director, was appointed one of the co-chairs of the emerging Transportation and Land Use Coalition (TALC - then called BATLUC, or the "Bay Area Transportation and Land Use Coalition").

The Forum provided policy guidance and staffing for many of TALC's early campaigns. Continuing success led TALC to undergo an organizational development process that resulted in a recommendation to merge the two groups and incorporate as an independent nonprofit organization under TALC's name.

Reports written by the Forum are available in the Archives section of this website.

Since 2002, all of the efforts of the Forum have been integrated into TALC. To contact someone about one of the Forum's reports or activities, please send an email message. See Contact Us for staff contact information.
