Environmental Justice
|
 Environmental
justice is fundamentally about fairness in the way we make
transportation decisions and provide transportation services,
with particular attention to disadvantaged communities. “EJ”
issues are often hard to pin down—they can be concrete (like
diesel buses being used exclusively in low income neighborhoods)
or they can be more systemic (like the exclusion of minorities
from decision-making processes). This toolbox provides solutions
to address a number of transportation and land use issues being
addressed in the environmental justice movement. |
