Make Transit Work Better

I can’t get from my house to the transit station without driving! I get confused by the different schedules and fares! The train doesn’t run during the day—what if I need to get home unexpectedly? The bus gets stuck in the same highway traffic as the cars, so why shouldn’t I just drive?

If any of this sounds familiar, check out this toolbox that provides strategies to overcome many of the complaints we’ve heard about transit. As we know, a truly sustainable region must have a transit system that is just as fast, reliable, and convenient as driving a car (or more so!). While most places in the Bay Area offer some level of transit service, we must make transit work better overall to attract new riders and keep current riders satisfied.
