Membership Options

TALC is a coalition of Member and Affiliate Groups, as well as numerous individual activists, who come together around the shared goals outlined in our platform.

We hope you’ll join us.

Member Groups are critical to the success of TALC, determining TALC’s policies and leadership. Member Groups are eligible to serve on and vote for the Board of Directors, give member-only input on key policy issues, and receive complimentary copies of TALC reports, four free registrations to TALC’s Annual Summit, and other benefits. Member Groups sign TALC’s platform, pay nominal dues based on a sliding scale, and are expected to help shape and actively participate in TALC’s campaigns.

Affiliate Groups are organizations that support TALC’s mission by signing onto the platform. Affiliates are invited to participate in TALC’s efforts to whatever extent they choose, including workgroups, campaigns and meetings. Affiliate Groups do not pay dues and do not vote for or serve on the Board of Directors.

NOTE on Group Representatives: Each Member & Affiliate Group designates one person to represent that organization within the Coalition. Others in those groups are also encouraged to participate in meetings, workgroups and other Coalition activities.

Individuals Many individual advocates, who are not associated with a Member or Affiliate Group, make valuable contributions to TALC through workgroups, meetings, and campaign activities. Financial contributions from individuals are critical in supporting key TALC campaigns. For more information on becoming an individual supporter, see the “Donate Now” button on our home page.
